A step back in time... for me and a school!

What a difference a year makes! This time last year Copmanthorpe Primary was getting ready to celebrate 150 year. They invited former students, teachers and parents along for assemblies, afternoon teas and school tours but it was a celebratory party afternoon which I was invited along to.

Invited, not just because I was on Minster FM (and yes they all loved being on the radio and even performed a song they had especially written for the day which we played on air) but because Copmanthorpe Primary was my old school too.

Driving into the school,  I was actually very exited to see who might be there, see how things had changed and meet the children and teachers.

There were photo boards all around with lots of familiar faces, and even one of my old teachers, still teaching at the school. I remember her originally at Miss Butterfield, but she became Mrs France.  It has to be said that the present day children loved that the teacher I was interviewing had also been my teacher!

Have a listen to my trip back in time!
